Purdue Housing for teenagers (HBF, MBF)

Dear co-workers and parents who are planning to bring teenagers to Purdue:

Our deadline for all UBF housing assignments at Purdue is Sunday, June 1st, by midnight.

For children ages 11-18, there is only one residence hall designated for housing, and those children will be assigned manually by our HBF/MBF coordinators (Sam Toh/Yvette Shin). Purdue strictly requires that UBF provide one adult chaperone for every ten children, and those chaperones must live with the children in that residence hall.

If North American parents bring children aged 10 and under, they will have to find their own housing off campus. Purdue’s residence halls have a common bathroom/shower on each floor. When these public showers are shared by adults living on those floors, Purdue does not allow children 10 and under to live there.

Also, please be advised that we have no program for children aged 5 and under, so a legal parent or guardian will have to be with such children at all times while on campus.

If parents not from North America bring children aged 10 and under, only they should select “family housing” on the housing page of the registration system. One of our conference workers will manually assign these international families a room in the Union Club Hotel on campus. To stay in one of those rooms, the costs are significantly higher. Per room, the cost will be $327, in addition to the regular adult/youth conference fees. We can only offer these rooms to international families, as space is limited.

If you plan to make changes to your child’s housing arrangements (those attending the HBF/MBF conferences), you must do so before midnight on Sunday, June 1st. After that time, changes to housing will incur penalty charges.

As a reminder, the registration fee for children 14-18 is $150.

For children under 14, the fee is $125.

Also, traveling back and forth between the two conferences will not be permitted, except during the evening programs.

Refunds for registration, adult or child, are possible only until July 3rd.

Questions regarding this announcement should be referred directly to:

For CBF: Yvette Shin (yvetteshin@yahoo.com) or Rebecca Choi (rdchoi@gmail.com).

Housing Update

Filed under: Announcements — admin at 3:30 pm on Saturday, May 24, 2008

As people need to finalize their housing assignments now, (and many have not done so), some need to see quickly where the rest of their chapter is staying. The document provided is an updated listing. For those who are planning to register and need a reference as to who is staying where, please reference to the spreadsheet document below.

This spreadsheet has been provided to assist you in making your housing selection within
the registration system. Residence Halls and their corresponding floors have been pre-allocated by
region and by chapter, and it is recommended that your selection follow these assignments as
closely as possible.

Please note that the registration system does not include Purdue’s actual residence hall names for
security purposes, therefore we have replaced them with arbitrary names represented by a letter
(A,C, E, F).You will find various worksheets in the file including occupancy breakdowns and details
to use for your selection and in choosing a roommate. May God bless our conference abundantly!

June 1st Registration Deadline is Approaching!

Filed under: Announcements, Conference workers — admin at 5:48 am on Tuesday, May 20, 2008

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

The June 1st deadline is fast approaching. In order to facilitate the registration process for Purdue university, it is important that all registrants complete their registration (,make any changes to their room assignments, or payment completion) before June 1st. (The earlier, the better.) Afterwards, we will forward the list to Purdue so that they can prepare accommodating the conference attendees. (One of the reasons as to why we have early-bird registration is that we incur extra fees after we have sent a committed list of attendants.)

For our North American attendants, if you have any questions, you can reference the regional manger for your area. To find out who your regional manger is, you can access this document here.

Please forward your questions now before the deadline. God be with you and may God bless this conference with the love of God!
